Brow lamination in downtown St. Petersburg

Seventy-five dollars for a full brow reset — laminated, shaped and tinted in one appointment. If your brows grow in every direction, refuse to sit flat, or look sparse because the hairs are pointing the wrong way, this is the service that fixes it.

Desiree has been a licensed esthetician since 1995, and brow work is one of those things where an experienced eye matters more than the product.

Who it's for

Anyone with unruly brows that won't stay put, or anyone who wants a fuller look without adding a single hair. Lamination lifts and sets the hairs upward and outward, which fills gaps that were always there — the hair was just lying flat and hiding them.

It's also the service for people who've been brushing their brows into place every morning and would like to stop.

What's included

Three services in one appointment, which is why it's the best value on the brow menu.

The lamination itself, which softens and resets the hair so it lies where it's placed. Then shaping, to build a brow that suits your face rather than a template. Then a tint, to darken the hair and make the new shape read properly.

What to expect

You'll be lying back with your eyes closed for most of it. A softening solution goes on first and is left to work, the hairs are combed into their new direction, then a setting solution locks them there. Shaping and tinting follow.

You'll see the difference the moment you sit up.

How long it lasts

The lamination typically holds for around six weeks before the hairs start drifting back to their natural direction.

The tint fades sooner — usually two to three weeks — so the shape outlasts the colour. Plenty of people book a tint on its own in between laminations to keep it looking fresh.

Aftercare

The first 24 hours matter most. Keep them completely dry — no swimming, steam, saunas, or hot showers on your face. Don't rub or touch them, and skip makeup on the brow area.

After that, brush them through with a spoolie each morning and they'll behave. A drop of brow oil or conditioner a few times a week keeps the hair in good condition, since lamination is a chemical process.

Questions people ask

How long does it last?

Around six weeks for the lamination, two to three weeks for the tint.

Does it damage the hair?

Not if it's properly spaced. It is a chemical process, which is why the recommended gap between laminations is six weeks or more, and why conditioning the brows in between is worth doing.

Can I have it done if I've had my brows waxed recently?

Mention it when you book. Freshly waxed skin around the brow is more sensitive, so timing matters.

Will it make my brows look fake?

Only if it's overdone. The shaping is where that's decided, and Desiree builds to your face rather than to a trend.

Is it the same as microblading?

No. Microblading is a tattoo and lasts years. This is entirely non-permanent — it grows out.
