Collection: Waxing

Chin wax, lip wax, nose wax, brow shaping and full face waxing in downtown St. Petersburg. Most appointments take under fifteen minutes and start at $12.

Facial waxing only. No body waxing.

Does it hurt? Briefly. Lip and chin are a few seconds each. Brows take a little longer because I work slowly around the eye. Most people are surprised how fast it's over, and the sting is gone before you're off the table.

Will I break out? Sometimes there's a little redness for an hour or two, especially the first time. Breakouts usually come from touching the area afterwards or from wax that was too hot. I keep the temperature low and the area clean, and I'll tell you what to skip for the rest of the day.

Will you take too much off my brows? No. This is the thing people are most afraid of, and they should be — a bad brow shape takes months to grow out. I map the shape to your bone structure, I check with you before I clean up anything above the brow, and I'll tell you honestly if what you're asking for won't suit your face.

What I wax: brows, lip, chin, nose, and full face. Prices are on each service below.

Full face covers brows, lip, chin, the sides, and the fine hair across the cheeks and jaw. Makeup sits completely differently afterwards, which is why most people book it before an event.

How often: every three to four weeks for most people. Regular waxing tends to make regrowth finer over time.

Before you come in: skip retinol for a few days, and tell me if you're using anything prescription on your skin. Waxing over compromised skin is how people end up lifted. Not sure? Ask when you book.

I've been doing this since 1995, out of a private treatment room downtown rather than a chair in a busy salon. If you're already booked for a facial, adding a brow shape or lip wax takes a few extra minutes.
