Lash Tinting
Lash Tinting
Lash tinting in downtown St. Petersburg
Twenty-seven dollars for darker, more defined lashes that last two to three weeks. A semi-permanent tint is applied to your natural lashes, so you wake up with definition already there.
It's the service people book before a holiday, a wedding, or any stretch where they'd rather not think about mascara every morning.
Who it's for
Anyone with fair, light or greying lashes — and anyone whose lashes are dark at the base but fade to almost nothing at the tips, which is more common than people realise and is why lashes can look short even when they aren't.
It suits swimmers, gym regulars, and anyone who's tired of mascara ending up under their eyes by lunchtime.
What it does and doesn't do
Worth being straight about this. Tinting adds colour. It does not add length, and it does not add volume — your lashes will be the same lashes, just darker and far more visible.
If you're after length or thickness, tinting isn't the service you want, and Desiree will tell you that rather than take your money.
What to expect
You lie back with your eyes closed for the whole thing. Desiree protects the skin under your eyes, applies the tint along the lash line, leaves it to develop, then removes it. You'll be done in well under half an hour.
Contact lenses come out beforehand. If you have sensitive eyes, mention it when you book and she'll patch test first.
Aftercare
Keep the area dry for the first 24 hours — no swimming, no steam rooms, no hot showers straight into your face. After that, treat them normally. Oil-based makeup removers will fade the tint faster, so a gentle water-based one makes it last longer.
Questions people ask
How long does it last?
Two to three weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle.
Is it safe for my eyes?
Yes. The tint is semi-permanent and formulated for use around the eyes, and your eyes stay closed throughout. If you have sensitive eyes or a history of reactions, ask for a patch test when you book.
Can I still wear mascara?
Yes, though most people find they stop bothering. That's rather the point.
Will it work on my lashes?
It makes the biggest difference on fair or greying lashes. If yours are already very dark, the change will be subtler — ask Desiree before booking.
Does it hurt?
No. You'll feel the brush along the lash line and nothing else.
